Regardless your cancer situation you will be having some rights as an employee and you should be given equal opportunities like others. How you should be treated at work should entirely depend on your qualifications and abilities. If you are fulfilling your duties and responsibilities at work you should not be fired even if you are sick and that is according to the law. After the cancer treatment and yo want to go back to work consider the accommodations at work.
