In 1948, the Colorado State Constitution was amended to authorize an elected State Board of Education to offer common supervision of public faculties, with powers and duties described throughout Title 22 of the Colorado Revised Statutes The primary Colorado State Board of Training was elected in November 1950 and commenced its work in January 1951.
The Board of Training holds common monthly meetings, open to the public, on the second and fourth Tuesdays at 6:00 p.m. Meetings are held on the Authorities Center, 600 East Fourth Road, Charlotte, NC 28202, except indicated in any other case on the meeting schedule.
Under its authority, the State Board units the tutorial coverage and standards for pre-kindergarten through high school and for Maryland’s public libraries, juvenile services education and vocational rehabilitation providers, passes laws which have the power of legislation and is empowered to interpret the true which means and intent of the law.
The Communications Committee, chaired by Debbie Chang, offers advice to the administration and board of training on messages, delivery automobiles, and focus to ensure clarity, accuracy, and transparency of all district communications to all stakeholders.
